Buying or selling a home
For buyers who want to know what they’d inherit, sellers who want a documented record to share, and the agents helping them.
If you’re buying
Look up the address
Free, and no account needed. Pick the home from the list as you type.
Look up a home →Switch to Buying
At the top of the record, set “Show what matters for” to Buying. It leads with what you’d inherit: each system’s age and whether replacement in the next five years is likely.
Share it with your inspector or agent
Press “Share for the inspection period” to copy a link that opens on the Buyer view. “Print summary” gives a printable page.
Ask the seller to finish it
Press “Ask the seller to finish it” to copy a short note asking the seller to add the equipment labels, with the record’s link after it: paste it into a text or an email. The link opens where they can walk the house and photograph the labels, which fills in what permits missed.
Keep it in My homes
Press “Add to My homes” and choose “I’m buying it”, so the record is one tap away until closing.
If you’re selling
Finish the record
Look up your home, then “Walk the house” and “Photograph a label” for each piece of equipment. A label gives the brand, model and age, which no permit says.
Share the link
Press “Share link” to copy a link that opens on the Buyer view, and put it in the listing or send it to buyers’ agents.
What’s shared, what’s private
- The record itself: anyone with the address or the link sees the same facts.
- What a household adds, marked as the household’s word until a label or a shop backs it.
- Your list of homes and how you said you’re connected to each. Nobody, the seller included, sees it.
- Your email, which is never shown with anything.
