Terms of use
The rules for using TradeWrench, in plain words. The short of it: it's free, it's our best estimate and not professional advice, and nobody may use it to contact or target the people who live in a home.

These terms
TradeWrench is run by Ayuda Ventures Inc.(“we”). By using the TradeWrench website, app or API you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use TradeWrench. Our Trust and privacy page is part of these terms.
A free service
Looking up a home and adding to its record are free. We may add paid features later; nothing will be charged without separate terms you agree to first. We may change, pause or stop any part of TradeWrench at any time.
What the information is, and isn’t
Each record is our best estimate of the equipment in a home, put together from public records (such as building permits and county tax lots) and from what households and contractors add. Records can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Ages, typical lifespans, warranty windows and what is likely due next are estimates.
“No permit on record” does not mean the equipment is original: much work, such as most reroofs and many water heater swaps, is done without a permit.
TradeWrench is not professional advice, a home inspection, an appraisal, or confirmation of any warranty or recall. Before you rely on it to buy, sell, insure, repair or replace anything, check with a licensed professional, the manufacturer or the office that issued the record.
No warranty
TradeWrench and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the information is accurate, complete or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Ayuda Ventures Inc.and the people who work with it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, savings or data, arising from your use of TradeWrench or reliance on anything in it, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim about TradeWrench is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
Using TradeWrench fairly
You agree not to:
- use TradeWrench, or anything you get from it, to contact, mail, call, visit, market to or target the people who live at an address, or to build a list for anyone else to do so;
- try to find out who lives at an address, or add anyone’s name, phone number or email address to a record;
- scrape, crawl or copy the site or its data in bulk, or reach it by automated means, except through our published API within its limits;
- resell or republish the records, or use them to build a competing database;
- add information you know is false, or about a home you have no real connection to;
- get around rate limits or security, probe for weaknesses, or interfere with the service.
We may limit or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.
What you add
When you add something about a home’s equipment (a plate reading, where a unit sits, a replacement, a service date, the shop that did the work), you confirm it is true as far as you know and that you are free to share it. It goes on that home’s record as the household’s (or the contractor’s) word, under these terms, and stays there when you move or close your account. Corrections are added as new entries; nothing is erased.
You keep any rights you have in what you add, and you give Ayuda Ventures Inc.a worldwide, royalty-free, permanent license to store, show, adapt and combine it as part of the home’s record and in summaries built from many records, and to let others see it there. Please don’t include anyone’s personal details; we remove them.
Receipts, costs and private notes you keep in your account are yours. We store them to show them to you, and never show them to anyone else.
Accounts
You don’t need an account to look up a home. If you sign in, use your own email address and keep access to it secure: anyone who can open your email can open your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page or by writing to hello@tradewrench.com.
